About
Who am I?
You can find out more about me on LinkedIn, but here's the short version.
I'm Luke Moloney. I work in the Microsoft Fabric Strategic Accounts and ISVs team as a Principal Program Manager for Microsoft in Dublin, Ireland. In my role I work with large customers to architect and develop solutions on top of Fabric and Azure more broadly. In particular, most of the customers I work with are ISVs/ISV-style workloads where they are developing customer-facing platforms that drive revenue.
All opinions are my own and do not represent the views of my employer.
Why am I doing this?
The first reason is for my own benefit. My process of documenting technical things used to consist of a OneNote notebook, Loop components, emails, etc — poorly formatted, poorly updated, and always incomplete. I'm hoping that wanting to put content on a blog will lead me to document my solutions in greater detail, ensure that nothing critical is missing, and encourage me to actually document things.
The second reason is simple — to help people who have suffered through the same annoyances as me. I've lost enough hair along the way. I've taken a lot of advice and guidance from many blogs, so I feel an obligation to give back.
The third reason is as a form of public record of some of the things I have done, as a way to help my future self.
What to expect?
Hopefully there will be some great technical content. I like to keep things practical, so a lot of what I post will be based on scenarios from my job or scenarios I've had to deal with. There may also be a little sarcasm, occasional memes, some snark, and a few Australian-isms 🦘.
You can also expect some non-technical content and thoughts on other topics — what I'm reading, enjoying, or just a good old-fashioned rant.
